SEPTEMBER 21, 2020 – Shareholder Tom Icard spoke at a virtual town hall as part of a special series. The Twelfth Judicial Circuit of Florida (Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto Counties) joined with the Sarasota County Bar Association (SCBA) for the series focusing on alternatives to address the backlog in civil jury trial cases resulting from the pandemic. Icard spoke on, “The Appointment and Use of Special Masters in Federal and State Civil Litigation.” The audience included circuit judges in the General Civil Division and the membership of the Civil Trial Section of the SCBA.
