SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen, and Ginsburg, P.A., is pleased and excited to announce the addition of two new attorneys to the Icard Merrill team – Kate Andrews and Leah West.
Kate Andrews received her J.D. from Florida State University College of Law Graduate in May of 2024. She served as Article Editor on the executive board of the Florida State University Law Review and was published in the University’s Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law. In 2022, Kate interned under magistrate judge, Nicholas Mizell, with the middle district of Florida, and with Icard Merrill in 2023. Kate’s interest in government and the environment has led her to focus on the areas of land use, zoning, real estate, and environmental law.
Leah West, a Sarasota native, graduated from University of Florida Levin College of Law cum laude. She participated in the Environmental and Community Development Clinic at the University of Florida Law. Additionally, she served as a Guardian ad Litem volunteer for the Eighth Judicial Circuit, a volunteer for Community Legal Services, and Editor for the University of Florida Journal on Law and Public Policy. Leah will be practicing in the areas of real estate and land use law.
