SARASOTA, FL – The law firm of Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen, and Ginsburg, P.A., is pleased and excited to announce that Stephen D. Rees, Jr., Attorney and Shareholder with the Firm has been appointed to the Realtor Attorney Joint Committee beginning in Jan 2026 for a two-year term. This committee is tasked with planning periodic legal programs for members and contributing monthly articles and Question and Answer segments for ELEVATE magazine. The responsibility also carries a duty to stay current with evolving real estate laws and Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) updates.
In addition, the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners has reappointed Stephen Rees to the Manatee County Historic Preservation Board for another three-year term. He has completed two terms previously and currently serves as the Chair to the organization’s Board.
